Owners Basil and Barbara Scalabrini
planted their Estate Vineyard in 1978 with quality not quantity in mind.
This small, family-owned winery produces about 3,000 cases a year of
Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Port. The Tasting Room is open daily from 12 - 5,
offering art, gifts, cheese and a picnic area in the ancient Gravenstein
apple orchard with views of the vineyards, orchards, open fields and distant
redwood forests. Site available for weddings and special events.

Nestled on a sunny coastal
ridge, overlooking the Pacific Ocean a mile below, our “True
Sonoma Coast” vineyard is one of the closest, if not the closest, to
the ocean in all of California. From the vineyard you can see the
breaking surf and the misty silhouettes of Bodega Head and Pt. Reyes far
below. The vineyard was developed and planted personally by the owners
Lester and Linda Schwartz and their small crew over a period of ten
years starting in 1994. The vineyard’s high elevation above the coastal
fog and its proximity to the ocean provide a gentle, sunny and temperate
climate that has proved to be very favorable for the slow and even
ripening of Burgundian varietals;
Pinot Noir,
Chardonnay and
Pinotage.
