The Gualala Community Center was built in 1955 through the efforts of local volunteers. The Center is a 501.3(c) Non-Profit Organization run by a Board of Directors, and has a membership of area citizens. Pay N' Take, a monthly rummage sale, is run by Community Center volunteers and provides most of the income for the center. The second hand merchandise is at low cost and is available to individuals and families in need. The Community Center provides a hall for groups and individuals at no or low cost. |

Jake's Place is a small shelter housing cats and kittens in open rooms until they are adopted. Puppies and adult dogs are fostered by volunteers until their new homes are found. We are open from 1-4 every day except Tuesday. |
