The Anchor Bay Children's Choir was formed in January 2004 for children ages 6-13 years who have a desire to sing and excel in the art of music. Director Susan Bohlin teaches proper vocal technique as well as fundamental music reading skills, Repertoire is drawn from folk songs, classical music, new compositions, and popular tunes.  Auditions are held in January and July and members are drawn from Annapolis to Manchester. Rehearsals are twice a month on weekends except in the summertime. Please see Arts Organizations.

Arena Cinema operates in the 1928 vintage Arena Theatre, a state-of-the-art Art Deco-style film palace restored in 1995 with local support by local artisans, and is owned by a local non-profit organization. The Arena Cinema offers major releases and alternative films seven days a week with Wednesday and Sunday matinees. Arena Renaissance Company is a community-based, all-volunteer, non-profit organization run by a seven member Board of Directors. ARC is responsible for the care and development of the magnificent Art Deco-style Arena Theatre and is dedicated to producing quality live entertainment there for all patrons.  Support live theater in our community by becoming a member of ARC! Applications are available at Arena Theatre. Members receive coupons for discounted admissions on ARC performances.

Art Center Theater is a fledgling Gualala Arts special interest group directed by Kathye Hitt and Lynne Atkins.  Their goal is to include the extended Redwood Coast community into theatrical art…inclusive of technicians and actors from Fort Ross to Elk. Previous productions include Neil Simon’s “California Suite”, Menotti’s “Amahl & the Night Visitors” and opening July 2004 is Neil Simon’s “London Suite”.  A condensed version of the musical “Scrooge” is planned for the holidays in 2004.
