Rotary is an international organization of service minded persons...the
underlying motto of Rotary being "Service Above Self”. The Gualala
Rotary Club was founded May 18, 1987 by John Hilt, DVM. In 15 years,
Gualala Rotary has grown to more than 20 members. Weekly Lunch Meetings
are held Fridays, 12:00 noon at St. Orres Hotel Dining Room. Rotary’s
major fundraising events include Spring and Fall Fundraisers,
currently "A Taste of Gualala" and the "Beach Party Blast Dance".
Rotary also assists with other Redwood Coast Community events such as
the Health Fair and Project Santa and provides scholarships to local
seniors and graduates continuing their higher education.
