The Anchor Bay Children's Choir was formed in January 2004 for children
ages 6-13 years who have a desire to sing and excel in the art of music.
Director Susan Bohlin teaches proper vocal technique as well as
fundamental music reading skills, Repertoire is drawn from folk songs,
classical music, new compositions, and popular tunes. Auditions are
held in January and July and members are drawn from Annapolis to
Manchester. Rehearsals are twice a month on weekends except in the
summertime.
Art Center Theater is a new Gualala Arts special interest group produced
and directed by Kathye Hitt and Lynne Atkins. Their goal is to bring
quality theatrical art to GAC, inviting professional performers, as well
as local talent from the extended Redwood Coast community …inclusive of
technicians and actors. Formed in 2003, they have prduced Neil Simon’s
“California Suite” Eileen Atkins' "Vita and Virginia"
and Menotti’s “Amahl & the Night Visitors”. Opening July 2004 is
Neil Simon’s “London Suite”. A condensed version of “Scrooge,
the Musical” is planned for the holidays. See also under

The Arena Renaissance Company is dedicated to providing quality live
entertainment to the Redwood Coast community in the magnificent Art
Deco-style Arena Theatre. ARC both produces live performances and brings
in entertainers from outside the area. Support live entertainment in our
community by becoming a member of ARC! Members receive discounts on
admission to all ARC performances. Applications are available at Arena
Theatre.
Since 1961 Gualala Arts has served Sonoma and Mendocino County coastal
residents and visitors with year-round programs of art, music, theater,
and education. With a budget of $345,000, Gualala Arts operates with 26
members on the board of directors, an executive director, three
part-time office assistants, bookkeeper, public relations coordinator,
Dolphin Gallery manager, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
TThe
North Coast Artists' Guild was founded in 1997 as a part of Gualala Arts
Center to better serve the area's artists. Events include the annual
Studio Discovery Tour (Labor Day & weekend after), exhibitions, and
providing venues for artists to sell their work.
Point Arena CITYART is a nonprofit community art gallery and shop. Our
purpose and goal is to enhance the artistic flavor and cultural dynamic
of our community by providing an environment where artists can show
their works, and by encouraging working and emerging artists to develop
and discover avenues of expression through community.
